HemiHelp supports its members by organising events around the UK, including conferences for parents and professionals and Fun Days and workshops for children and their families. We also produce a quarterly magazine packed with news and features, and provide support services such as helpline, home visiting service and message board. HemiHelp also produce a range of leaflets, booklets and books about all aspects of hemiplegia. HemiHelp is a UK-based charity for people with hemiplegia and their families. Hemiplegia is a neurological condition that weakens one side of the body, and affects up to one child in a thousand. It is sometimes described as a form of cerebral palsy, and the effects are similar to those of a stroke.
